NBF 101 – Brain Functions (5 credits/6 weeks)
This course focuses on basic concepts of brain functions, such as factors that make the brain fail to work properly and the needs of a neuron, blood sugar imbalances, stressful brain, brain circulation and oxygen, gut-brain axis, brain inflammation, and brain neurotransmitters. In addition, it sheds some light on acetylcholine, serotonin, GABA, dopamine, the hormonal brain connection, essential fatty acids, toxins and brain, and a healthy brain approach.
NBF 102 – Nutrition & Disease (5 credits/6 weeks)
This course focuses on applying the answers to many questions in regards to how to beat cardiovascular diseases with a modified Mediterranean diet, how to beat arthritis and autoimmune disease, how to beat type 2 diabetes, cancer (stages 1-2 and 3-4), beat dementia and Alzheimer’s, beat ADHD and autism and beat mental illness with the modified Mediterranean diet.
NBF 103 – Brain Health (4 credits/5 weeks)
This course focuses on a science-based nutrient therapy system that can help those diagnosed with mental disorders. Research database indicates that containing numerous chemical factors in blood, urine, and tissues has identified brain-changing nutrient imbalances in patients diagnosed with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, behavior disorders, depression, schizophrenia, and Alzheimer’s disease.
NBF 104 – Unhappy Brain & Mind Connection (3 credits/4 weeks)
This course introduces and guides us to certain situations humans face in their daily lives and understanding this connectivity between brain and mind is important for example: What is the mind? Why does the mind worry? How does the mind speak? Anxiety and depression treatments are based on Ancient tools in modern times. Describe and find out about letting the mind do its job, and how mood, lifestyle, and psychological flexibility work together.
NBF 105 – Food & Brain Link (3 credits/4 weeks)
Students will learn why nutrition matters in mental health. It is important to understand the role of various nutrients in nourishing the brain and the gut, the “second brain.” Typical nutritional culprits that underlie or exacerbate specific mental disorders. In addition, considerations for food allergies, sensitivities, and other related diet issues.
Business Skill & Communication is not included in the diploma program (Short Course 5 weeks Separate and optional for Students with a Separate Tuition Fee of $200)
This course guides and covers the basic concept of starting a business and all the necessary issues required for a Natural Health Consultant, such as schools, accreditation, credentials, legal issues, malpractice insurance, forms, assessment systems, marketing, compliance, appointment structuring, and other related issues.
Note: Each online course with its assigned period has assignments, three exams, and a paper per course for students to write.
Introduction to Human Biology (Anatomy & Physiology 5 credits/6 weeks) Separate and optional for Students to enhance their knowledge about Human Biology with a Separate Tuition Fee of $250.
This course introduces the human body on a microscopic level, including cells, tissues, organs, and systems13. It describes basic human body parts and their life process. It also explains how important the human body is, which consists of cells, tissue functions in these organs, and systems that play a significant role in the structures and functions of each major system.
The BNHC academic committee can modify the curriculum based on science and update research on prospective students’ needs, backgrounds, or careers.
